   While refilled cartridges seem like a bargain, my side by side comparison showed that the print quality was much poorer. I would dearly like to find a reliable supplier or manufacturer of refilled or compatible cartridges but I am not aware of any. We buy the HP original cartridges regularly for our home office. I have never had a problem with the HP originals. You should consider this dual pack if you use several of these a year as we do. The current Amazon price is $62.99 for a single cartridge HP LaserJet Q2612A Black Print Cartridge (Q2612A). This is cost competitive with New-egg and HP itself and you can save $5 per cartridge with this dual pack. The price per printed page works out to something in the range of 2 to 3 cents for the toner.

   The listing for this cartridge indicates that it is an HP toner cartridge, however it was actually that of a third party FOR the HP 1020. I will be even more leary in the future of purchases.

   I did quite a bit of research for the best price on a "real" HP LaserJet printer cartridge because I didn't want to use the refills or re-used cartridges, only new cartridges (to ensure the best print quality and this seemed to fit the bill). The printer cartridge works great, as you'd expect, and the price was cheaper than the HP web site - all around a very satisfying product and experience.
