After weeks of research and debate, I finally decided on the Pliko Lite over the Maclaren Quest. I was originally searching for a durable, light-weight stroller that has all the functions of a full-sized stroller. As a former Bugaboo user for over a year, I have been pretty spoiled by its smooth ride and versatility and wasn't sure if I can find anything that suits my demands AND be light-weight. I know Maclaren Quests get rave reviews from parents but one problem I had with Macs are that the seats seemed too narrow and not padded enough. It also seemed a little hammocky and slumpy for smaller kids. And the basket was practically useless (can't fit even a decent sized diaper bag) and most importantly, it was so light-weight that the stroller easily tips over if you take out the baby before the shopping bags. As a suburban mom who is constantly in and out of the car, I would have loved a stroller that is easy to fold and take in and out, yet I also needed something more substantial that my baby can feel comfortable in for longer rides at malls, outdoor areas, amusement parks, etc. So I ultimately decided to sacrifice a few pounds (meaning a little more weight on the stroller) and go for one that is more comfortable and functional for my daughter as well as myself. Well, this stroller comes close to perfect. First, the seat has three different recline positions: 1 upright (good for normal use), one 1/3 reclined (when baby is relaxing) and one 2/3 reclined (when baby is fast asleep). These three positions are more than enough for my 17 months old daughter. It also has two point foot rests that allows her to put her feet up so they don't dangle. Second, the seat is wide, plush and very comfortable. Havent found much strollers with this kind of good quality padding. It also has some extra padding on the two sides that allows babies to lean their head against it when taking a nap. My daughter's head used to bob around in her bugaboo but it doesnt do that in this one. The seat belt is 5-point harness with thick black paddings that say "Peg Perego." Third, the basket is roomy and accessible. It's not accessible from the back, just from the two sides and the front but it really doesn't bother me. I can fit my diaper bag, few shopping bags and any other necessities. Fourth, the canopy is full and durable. It also has a zipper pouch in the back that's great for storing wallet, keys, cellphones, etc. One thing I wish it has is a peek-a-boo window but that's also a feature I can live without since my daughter is old enough not to be constantly checked upon. Lastly, the ride is smooth. It steers easily and pushes easily, even with one hand. It comes with a small cup holder that can fit a small water bottle or sippy cups. Not big enough for large drinks but its still better than not having one at all, I think. The fold is easy. It folds up fairly small. I don't have a problem folding it and taking it in and out of the trunk. Not as small as Maclarens but smaller than most full-sized strollers. Overall, I would highly recommend this stroller for a mom who's looking for something more substantial for longer strolls and shopping. If you're really in the market for the ultimate light-weight stroller for quick trips, Maclarens are probably better. If you're looking for something that can accomodate your baby for many hours in comfort with all the features of a full-sized stroller, this is probably a better choice for you.

I am a stroller freak...I spent many months researching the perfect strollers for my 3rd child. We purchased a Bertini for our numerous sporting events and outdoor activities (excellent stroller too) however, I wanted a lightweight stroller that was still quality and stylish...I tested the Maclaren, peg's and Inglesina's. I decided on the Peg Perego Pliko LITE for several reasons. Pro's... 1. It accomidates the Prima Viaggo car seat...none of the other umbrella type strollers did that. ALso, when using the carseat, both hoods meet to fully block your baby from the elements. 2. It was functional like a full-size stroller but weighed only 13 lbs. 3. It came in PINK...hellooooooo 4. The basket is large enough to hold a big diaper bag (although issues with that too later) 5. Hood has pocket 6. CUP HOLDER...woo hoooo Now the cons.... 1. I am 4'11"..I noticed when walking I tend to kick the back wheels. I figured out though if I don't sit right on top of the handles I don't do that so I just need to put my arms out a little farther which isn't really that big of a deal. 2. No peek a boo in the hood. My baby is new and once in awhile I put her in with out her carseat...if that's the case, I can't see her. HOWEVER..when using the carseat with the stroller, both hoods meet to completely block her from the elements as I metioned above. 3. Basket is not easily accessible. Whatever..I can get over it. 4. When not using the carseat, the baby isn't really secure in the straps but I have figured out how to adjust them so she is safe. Also, the straps come with strap pads so little ones are more comfortable if you ask me and also, if you use blankets it bulks them up so they are more secure as well. Well, there is my review, I love my stroller and know we will get TONS of use from it.

I like that this stroller is an umbrella stroller. I have an SUV and not many things can fit in the rear. I replaced the travel stroller with this convenient umbrella stroller. I also wanted a light weight stroller that I can lift with one hand. It actually is not as light as I expected but it is much lighter than the travel stroller. The steering is much better that the travel stroller. However, for my 3 1/2 month old baby the strap harness is not ideal since it comes in contact with her face. It looks as if within time she will out grow that. Overall, I enjoy strolling her in it.
