   When I bought this, I couldn't find any reviews, but gave it a chance since my original camcorder battery could not longer hold a charge. This battery works great, including working with my camera's (Sony CCD-TRV65) metering system. Took it on an overseas trip and shot many hours of video on a single charge. If you want an inexpensive, long life battery replacement for your Sony, then this is it.

   I have had this printer for about 2yrs now and love it. The biggest issue was with the Ink Consumption, which I figured out pretty quickly. Here is some info from Canon on how to make sure you printer is only using black in to print text and not color ink as well.... Occasionally you may need to print using black ink only. Using grayscale alone does not provide this option and the color inks will still be used. By following this procedure you may print using only the pigment black ink tank. Note: Image quality may be sacrificed when printing photographs. Open the Properties / Preferences window for the printer. For Windows Vista Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'. Note: If you are in 'Classic' view, Click 'Printers' directly from the 'Control Panel'. Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Properties' from the menu that appears. For Windows XP Home Edition Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel,' 'Printers and Other Hardware,' and 'Printers and Faxes.' Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Properties' from the menu that appears. For Windows XP Professional Edition Click 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and 'Printers and Faxes.' For Windows 2000/Me/98 Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and 'Settings,' then 'Printers.' Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Properties' from the menu that appears. Click on the Main tab. Select 'Plain Paper' as the Media Type. If any other paper type is selected, color ink will be used to create black. Note: The pigment black ink will only be used when printing on plain paper. Select the box for 'Grayscale Printing'. If the document to be printed is in black only, then this step may be skipped. Note: If either 'Borderless Printing' or 'Duplex Printing' are enabled from the Page Setup tab, grayscale will be created using a combination of the color (dye) inks to prevent smearing. Click 'OK' to save the changes. The printer will now only use the pigment black ink tank.

   I've owned this unit for over a year now and it's still just as great as the day it was delivered to my door. I own it, I love it, I couldn't live without my canon printer. (it's the second canon that I've owned in 10 years.)

   Bought this to replace an HP multifuncion printer which finally jammed up from spewing too much ink, plus I was tired of the bloated HP software that comes with all their printers. The Canon software was much more compact, and the print quality was excellent. The print registration was not great (the square alignment of the print on the page), but I have not seen an inkjet printer yet that consistently aligns the print. I believe this is due to the extremely cheap plastic construction of all these units. Anyway, by juggling the paper feeds I could usually get reasonable results. Faxing, scanning and copying worked fine. The printer has been very lightly used, probably less than 2000 pages (4 reams) in 18 months. It uses lots of ink as others have noted. 99.9% of the pages are printed simplex (one sideed) in grayscale, which I have set the printer to by default. I have probably only printed 5-6 photos on it, and copied a few color pages, always in fast quality to save ink. Yet it goes through ink (including colors) like crazy. Also of note, if it thinks even one ink cartridge is out of ink the printer is completely disabled! No copy, no fax, no scan, no B+W print, even if it thinks a color cartridge is the problem. What genius designed this software? I guess the ones who want you to keep buying ink. All this I could live with, and was very happy with the printer. However, today, 18 months after purchase, the printer dies with error code A600. A Google search indicated this may be due to paper or ink jam. I checked thoroughly, no problems found. So 18 months after purchase, and lots of ink, the thing is dead. To me this is incredibly poor quality. It's unlikely I will be buying another Canon printer.
