Sexy scents for the summer

I know of a lot of people who have doubts regarding what perfume to wear, including me. Just when I’m ready to go out – my fingers hover around my perfume collection – doubt sets in. This one or that one? Is it going to be the rich, musky one or should I settle for fruity or floral, or perhaps a mix of both fruity and floral? Yes, a trifle perplexing if you don’t know your summer perfumes. Take a look at what I’ve learned about some of the best scents for summer:

Identify the occasions you want to use the perfume for. Is it for a summer wedding, a hot day outdoors? Or is it for a regular working day during summer? A tropical vacation perhaps?
I would personally go with a light floral or a fruity scent for summer. Floral more than fruity. Carolina Herrera 212 with heart notes of camellia, gardenia and lily with base notes of musk and sandalwood with overt notes of orange blossom that hints of the Mediterranean will hit the right note.
Heavy evening perfumes are definitely out since it could be overpowering in the heat. Avoid Oriental scents. Humid, sticky weather calls for just hints of light fragrances.
Citrusy scents are another favorite of mine. Look for established brands that know their perfumes. Citrus or mandarin with leafy notes last longer.
If you’re an ‘outdoorsy’ person, fragrances reminiscent of the ocean can be an instant turn-on. Ozone scents mixed with light notes of cucumber are light and don’t sit heavily on you.

Basically, go with light, not in-your-face kind of scents. If you’re not too sure about which perfume to pick, go with colognes. They are light and fresh and suit most people.
