Michael is the Founder, President, and CEO of Become, Inc. and is responsible for the direction, strategy and execution of a global online shopping search engine and marketing services company. He founded Become.com in January 2004 with the goal of developing the next generation shopping search engine, and Become, Inc. has since raised over $37 million in venture capital from TPG, EFF, Transcosmos, and Ron Conway. Prior to this, Michael founded mySimon.com in 1998 and served as its CEO; mySimon raised $30 million in venture capital from Intel, Brentwood, and Sprout and was acquired by CNET for $700 million in 2000.
Prior to mySimon.com, Michael held positions at Xerox Corp., Intergraph Corporation, TeleVideo, Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., and Jazz Multimedia, Inc. Michael has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, MS degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He has served on the advisory board of the Stanford Institute of Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) at Stanford University as well as on the IT Advisory Council for President George W. Bush. Michael holds a fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Greg heads up Business Development, Sales and Client Service efforts at Become.com. As the person responsible for generating revenue he works closely with key strategic partners Google, Yahoo!, MSN, eBay as well as leading online retailers and their agencies.
Prior to joining Become.com Greg worked at NexTag, a leading comparison shopping site, where he managed the growth of the product shopping categories and merchant partner network including: eBay, Amazon, Target and Wal-Mart. Prior to joining NexTag, Greg led business development and marketing efforts at LiquidPrice.com, a reverse auction web-site, and worked as a consultant and analyst at Asia Pacific Ventures, a venture capital & consulting firm. Greg holds an MBA degree from the Marriott School of Management and a BA in political science from Brigham Young University.

Rohit Kaul is the Chief Architect and Senior Director of Engineering for Become.com’s global Engineering. Rohit joined Become.com in June 2004 during the formative stage of the engineering group and developed a common distributed search platform. He is the primary inventor of Become’s AIR search engine ranking technology and co-inventor of key technological innovations in SEM, product-search and web-search.
Prior to joining Become.com, Rohit completed his Ph.D. in Engineering at Stanford University where his research focused on developing numerical solutions to highly nonlinear structural engineering problems within the OpenSees software framework. In India, Rohit held engineering positions at Tata Chemicals Ltd. and Gammon India Ltd. Rohit has a MS degree from Texas Tech University and Bachelor of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

Ted leads the Accounting and Finance areas and brings more than 18 years of financial management experience to Become. Prior to this role, Ted served as Corporate Controller for PaymentOne Corporation where he oversaw the accounting organization that supported the company’s aggressive expansion.
Ted has also held several financial management positions at Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of Hawaii in the Internet banking, Trust & Wealth Management, and Investment areas. Ted started his career as an auditor for Deloitte & Touche in Rochester, New York where he performed financial statement audits and special projects for financial services and retail clients. Ted is a certified public accountant and holds a BA in Accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Lee leads US Sales & Business Development for Become.com. In her role, she works closely with over 3,500 of the top online retailers as well as with strategic partners such as Google and eBay.
Prior to Become.com, Lee ran Broadspan Commerce, a conglomerate of e-commerce sites (like Totalbedroom.com and Directlyhome.com) specializing in home furnishings and decor. Earlier in her career, she oversaw marketing for the Naked Juice Company's East Coast operations where she was on a team that grew the business and subsequently sold it to PepsiCo in 2006. Lee holds an MBA from The Harvard Business School and a BA in History with minors in French, Spanish and Italian from Brandeis University.

Ronald Conway has been an active angel investor for over 15 years. He was the Founder and Managing Partner of the Angel Investors LP funds (1998-2005) whose investments included: Google, Ask Jeeves, Paypal, Good Technology, Opsware, and Brightmail. He was recently awarded Best Angel at The 2009 TechCrunch Crunchies Awards. He was named #6 in Forbes Magazine Midas list of top "deal-makers" in 2008 and is actively involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors. Ron was with National Semiconductor Corporation in marketing positions (1973-1979), Altos Computer Systems as a co-founder, President and CEO (1979-1990) and took Altos public on Nasdaq in 1982 and served as CEO of Personal Training Systems (PTS) (1991-1995). PTS was acquired by SmartForce/SkillSoft (Nasdaq SKIL). Ron has served/serves on Boards/Advisory Boards including: Twitter, Digg.com, Bright Mail, Ask Jeeves, Rupture (acquired by EA), Associated Content, Become.com, Facebook, RockYou, ScanScout, Zappos, Trulia, StumbleUpon, Plaxo (acquired by Comcast), Photobucket (acquired by Fox), and Anchor Intelligence (co-founder).
Philanthropically, Ron is Vice Chairman of the UCSF Medical Foundation in SF, Board Member of The Tiger Woods Foundation, and SF Homeless Connect, and on the Benefit Committee of Ronald McDonald House, College Track, and the Black Eyed Peas-PeaPod Academy Foundation.

Taek Kwon is an Operating Partner at TPG Growth. He joined the firm in March 2006 and focuses on media and technology investments. He is currently working with current TPG portfolio companies such as FineStationary.com, G2 Switchworks Corp., and OnVantage Inc.
Previously, Mr. Kwon held positions such as the Chief Executive Officer at Friendster, Executive Vice President of Product and Technology at Citysearch, Inc. and Senior Engineering Manager at Commerce One.
He is a Member of Global Advisory Board of AdGent 007, Inc. Mr. Kwon was a Member of the National Engineering Honor Society. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.

Shin Nagakura is Managing Director, Transcosmos Investments. He was a founding member of Transcosmos Investments' Silicon Valley Office, and has more than 15 years of experience in investments, business development and sales/marketing in the US and Japan. His investments/Joint Venture projects include RealNetworks, mySimon, AskJeeves, NetRatings, Brightcove and Zazzle.
Prior to Transcosmos, Mr. Nagakura served with Recruit Co. Ltd., for ten years, Japan's largest publishing and Internet media and marketing services power house. He graduated from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan with B.A. international Studies in 1986.

Jeff Holden is Senior VP, Product Management at Groupon, the company that invented the "deal of the day" model and has grown its revenue faster than any company in history. Jeff sold his previous company, Pelago, where he was founder & CEO, to Groupon in April, 2011. Pelago was a pioneer in location-based social media and the creator of Whrrl, a mobile application available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry that enabled a new kind of local discovery based on a novel social model called "Societies" combined with Amazon-like recommendation technology.
Before founding Pelago, Jeff was at Amazon.com for almost 9 years. He was the Senior VP responsible for the worldwide consumer website experience, including personalization, ordering/Amazon Prime, community, search, automated merchandising and online traffic (Associates, SEM/SEO). Prior to Amazon, Jeff was a VP at D. E. Shaw & Co., a top hedge fund in New York.

Claudio Pinkus is a board member and Chief Strategy Officer at Multiply.com, a social shopping network. Prior to Multiply, Mr. Pinkus was a Managing Partner at NetStrategies.
From 1996-1999, Pinkus served as CEO for Browne Global Solutions, a leader in localization and software services for finance and IT industries. He then moved on Ask Jeeves where he served as President and Chief Strategy Officer over a five year period.
Mr. Pinkus attended UCLA, where he studied Chemistry and Computer Sciences.
