Alex leads Become, Inc. with locations in the U.S., Japan, Germany and Italy and also holds a seat on the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Become, Inc., Alex served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Zoomerang at MarketTools, Inc.
As General Manager of Zoomerang, he was responsible for all aspects of the consumer internet business including growing the subscriber base, pursuing new market opportunities in the online survey and poll market, creating an innovative and compelling product roadmap and driving overall financial results. Alex was also President and CEO of NeoEdge Networks and spent five year at Time Warner/AOL in senior executive roles. Alex earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.
Edward leads the Accounting and Finance area, as well as the HR, Legal and Facilities areas. With Edward’s expertise in managing global organizations and many years of experience working with online businesses, he is responsible for growing and organizing the business financially. Edward most notably served as Corporate Controller for Become, Inc.’s rival, Nextag.
Prior to joining Become, Inc., Edward held several financial leadership positions such as Vice President of Finance and Administration at Adchemy Inc. and as Worldwide Operations Controller at Adobe Systems Inc. Edward also has successful entrepreneurial experience having founded and grown his own music startup, SonicJam Inc. Edward earned his undergraduate degree in political science and earned his MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University.
As CRO for Become, Inc. Greg Haslam heads up Business Development, Sales and Client Service efforts worldwide. Greg Haslam has over 12 years of e-commerce experience with over 7 years at Become.com. A frequent flyer, Greg Haslam splits his time between company offices in Sunnyvale, Karlsruhe, Milano and Tokyo where he works closely with key strategic partners such as Google, Yahoo!, MSN, eBay as well as leading online retailers and their agencies.
Prior to joining Become, Inc. Greg Haslam worked at Nextag, a leading comparison shopping site, where he managed the growth of the product shopping categories and merchant partner network including: eBay, Amazon, Target and Wal-Mart. Prior to joining Nextag, he led business development and marketing efforts at LiquidPrice.com, a reverse auction web-site, and worked as a consultant and analyst at Asia Pacific Ventures, a venture capital & consulting firm in Menlo Park, California.
Michael Rausch is responsible for running North American and Europe business operations out of Become, Inc’s German office reporting to Chief Revenue Officer Greg Haslam and is a member of the Global Executive Team, which is responsible for global development.
From 1998, Michael Rausch was responsible for the development of the Internet department of a large publishing house in Karlsruhe, of which he later had the opportunity to lead. Since 2006, Michael focused entirely on the online retail market and for three years worked as a Shop Manager for the Otto Group. From there, Michael moved on to take up the challenge of Head of Key-Account DACH for Guided Selling Specialists, Pangora, which was later acquired by Become Inc. Michael Rausch left the company almost three years later and overtook the position of Director (DoB) Sales at price comparison portal, billiger.de. In August 2012, he returned to Become as General Manager Europe.
Yoshikazu Ono leads the Become Japan team with more than 15 years of experience in sales and business development. He joined Become in 2006 as a sales director and worked his way up to Country Manager and then Corporate Vice President.
Prior to joining Become, Yoshi held positions in advertising sales and business development for DoubleClick Japan, where he managed publishers such as MSN Japan, Shockwave, and RealNetworks. Yoshi also managed publishers like Yahoo! Japan and excite Japan as a business developer for Overture Japan. Yoshi began his career at Recruit Co. Ltd., the largest internet media and marketing company in Japan. He earned a BA from Waseda University in Tokyo.
Claudio Pinkus is currently serving as Chairman of the Board and Chief Strategy Officer at Multiply.com, a social shopping network. Prior to Multiply, Mr. Pinkus was a Managing Partner at NetStrategies.
From 1996-1999, Pinkus served as CEO for Browne Global Solutions, a leader in localization and software services for finance and IT industries. He then moved on Ask Jeeves where he served as President and Chief Strategy Officer over a five year period.
Mr. Pinkus attended UCLA, where he studied Chemistry and Computer Sciences.
Michael is the Founder of Become, Inc. and served as President, and CEO from 2004 to 2012. He founded Become.com in January 2004 with the goal of developing the next generation shopping search engine, and Become, Inc. has since raised over $37 million in venture capital from TPG, EFF, Transcosmos, and Ron Conway. Prior to this, Michael founded mySimon.com in 1998 and served as its CEO; mySimon raised $30 million in venture capital from Intel, Brentwood, and Sprout and was acquired by CNET for $700 million in 2000.
Prior to mySimon.com, Michael held positions at Xerox Corp., Intergraph Corporation, TeleVideo, Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., and Jazz Multimedia, Inc. Michael has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, MS degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He has served on the advisory board of the Stanford Institute of Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) at Stanford University as well as on the IT Advisory Council for President George W. Bush. Michael holds a fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Shin Nagakura is Managing Director, Transcosmos Investments. He was a founding member of Transcosmos Investments’ Silicon Valley Office, and has more than 15 years of experience in investments, business development and sales/marketing in the US and Japan. His investments/Joint Venture projects include RealNetworks, mySimon, AskJeeves, NetRatings, Brightcove and Zazzle.
Prior to Transcosmos, Mr. Nagakura served with Recruit Co. Ltd., for ten years, Japan’s largest publishing and Internet media and marketing services power house. He graduated from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan with B.A. international Studies in 1986.
Will Hunsinger is currently an Ops Director for TPG Growth focused on the firms eEnablement efforts. Will brings over 20 years of expertise in General Management, Strategy, Business Development, E-commerce and Online marketing, as well as a deep passion for start-ups and entrepreneurial organizations. Will is the former CEO and Co-Founder of SportStream, a mobile social suite of sports apps for the second screen. Will is also the former CEO of Evri, the first global topic-based news reader application.
Prior to Evri, he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Maveron LLC, where he evaluated investment opportunities and provided operational support to their portfolio companies. Will is also the former CEO of AdEze, the online rich media advertising platform. He has held several senior executive positions at Gap, including GM of Gap.com and VP of Business Development Gap Direct. Prior to Gap, Will was the Senior Director of Strategy & New Business Development at Overture (Acquired by Yahoo), Vice President of Business Development & Product Management at Business.com and the Director of Product Management at Opus360 Corp. Will began his career at Accenture, Ltd. Will received his BS in International Relations from Georgetown University.
