   Things to note about this purifier: -This is arguably the most silent HEPA filter on the market (don't believe the claims of silent operation by other manufacturers, that aren't backed up with dB ratings). Unfortunately, the quantity of air circulating when it's at the lowest setting is negligible and will most likely not have any impact on the room. -It has a greater area HEPA filter than the other Airpura models, so it will last longer and produce slightly less noise at the same air flow. It can also have a carbon filter (note that this is just the same carbon fabric that you cut to size, commonly used in cheap HEPA filters as a prefilter -- don't pay $50 for it, you can buy the same for a quarter of that price elsewhere). -The air exits on the side. At low speeds it would be easily recaptured below in a short loop, which makes me think it cleans the air only in its immediate vicinity instead of in the entire room. On the plus side, it won't disturb dust accumulated in drapes or deposited on the floor. -The cabinet is made of metal covered with enamel; it looks nice and seems durable. It is smaller than I expected. It rolls around easily on a wooden floor, so it can be put in the middle of the room or put away with ease. The electrical cord is long enough for such movement. -Thankfully, this filter produces no ozone. Usually, filters that are this silent rely on some sort of electrostatic effect, which inevitably produces ozone (any ozone production is bad). In conclusion, this is a good choice if you need an air purifier that sits right next to you.

   After I obtained a laser particle counter, I had to rewrite this review to give it 5 stars. Of all the air filters I tried (Honeywell, Duracraft, etc...), this one was the most efficient at removing airborne particles (0.5 uM or greater), beating even an IQAir. I was so surprised. They were tested on their highest speed setting.    This is a great product, I love the Automatic function where it senses the condition of the air and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. Since I placed this in our bedroom the dust accumulation is about 99% gone, we also sleep so much better and feel rested in the morning. I would not hesitate to buy this purifier,again it is made with such outstanding quality and so very quite.
