I'm a woman with a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, and a mutt. The barrier is blissfully simple to assemble. I had no trouble whatsoever following the instructions. The thumbscrews make for super easy installation and a custom fit. Brian the dog is extremely strong, and if he wanted to could possibly pull the barrier out of place since it's not screwed into the Jeep at any point, however, he hasn't. He sees the barrier as just that and stays happily and calmly in the wayback along with his hair and slobber.

Found it very easy to install and universal as advertized. Very reasonably priced and it arrived quickly. Ordered another for the second family vehicle when it worked out so well.

I bought this having read the positive and negative reviews. After having used this for a month or so, I have to agree with the negative reviews. This gate is poorly designed. The pads that hold the gate in place do not pivot and my car's roof is not flat, so there is a gap between the gate's pad and the ceiling. This causes the gate to fall over, especially if the dog has been lying against the bottom of the gate. Also, installing the gate was a pain - not because it was difficult but because the screws holding the crossbars in place were difficult to access. Overall, I don't rate this very highly and I wish I'd paid more attention to my gut when it said not to go with this. Very disappointed.
