When I head to the beach I always carry a cover up, which can double up as a casual top or dress. Since its the weekend, sudden plans always pop up. After keeping the sun-tan lotion, hat and towel, there’s hardly any room to store anything more. So, I prefer something that can be stored easily too.
One of my favorites here are animal print blouses available in versatile and trendy designs. I stick to tie-on halter necks or button down shirts because they are easy to pull on. I generally wear the swimsuit from home and just slip on the top over it for the sake of convenience. Who’s gonna queue up for the changing room!
I also prefer these tops in materials like jersey or chiffon as they require less space to store. Another good thing is that in case you wear them over a semi-wet body, they dry off rather easily. If you are just planning on a casual lunch on the beach or somewhere nearby, you can opt for a trendy animal print dress also.
Now remember that you can easily go wrong with animal prints, especially during the day. So, here are some fashion faux passé that you should remember-
It’s Fall Fashion Week 2009 in New York and all the styles for Spring 2010 are debuting. So since we love fashion we’ve decided to make it Fashion Week at Become! You’ll be able to find a lot of the trends that you see on the runways in New York right here on Become.
Here is a super quick recaps of the designers and trends seen at the shows so far:
BCBG: BCBG kicked off Fashion Week debuting their stellar spring line. Dresses in bright colors and fresh patterns dominated the runway. With the looks being accented with the perfectly sized BCBG clutch . The one shoulder dress as well as the mini dress are still being seen this spring.
Cynthia Steffe: Cynthia Steffe presented a wide array of looks and styles for Spring 2010. Along with a subdued feminine floral motif, her collection also has a more modern side with refined button downs and blazers. See the outfit on the right is a perfect example of Cynthia’s mix of sweet ruffles with a charmingly boyish shirt. The mash of the two together creates a great collection for the Spring.
Lacoste: It’s not just about the Lacoste polo anymore. Lacoste’s show at Fashion Week presented a fun array of sporty-chic ensembles ready for the summer air. Refreshing bright yellows, soft blues, and clean whites dominiated the runway. Sporty cropped pants, slouchy pants, fitted tops and tennis-like skirts were the most commonly seen looks on Lacoste’s runway.
Tracy Reese: As her style usually goes, Tracy Reese presented a line of fun flirty and feminine looks for the Spring. With full skirts, flirty dresses, and floral prints, Tracy Reese kept to her usual style of ultra femme. Also seen at her show was a grey for spring as well as the cinched belts.
Diane Von Furstenberg: Less bright and colorful as her contemporaries, Diane Von Furstenberg rolled out a runway show filled with everyday looks for the modern woman. Brightly colored bangles adorned the wrists of the runway models as they showed off an array of dresses, skirts, and ensembles in blacks and darker and safari prints. Her prints and designs drew from mulitple influences
Although it’s not over yet, there are a trends being seen for Spring 2010 at Fall Fashion Week. Refreshing yellows, animal print blouses, cinched waist belts, as well as sequined dresses have been seen throughout the runways, but let’s wait until the end before we make any true predictions.
