Asian Shower Curtain

Shower curtains are a very ubiquitous part of our home, and picking the right one now can save you a lot of headaches in the future. Before we begin our discussion of ideal shower curtains though, we need to get into the types of shower enclosures and why shower curtains are needed in the first place. Typically shower curtains are used in conjunction with showers that feature a tub. In contrast, full showers (or showers without tubs) typically include sliding doors to prevent water from getting out. Shower curtains are better for tubs in this regard and prevent water from escaping over the side of the tub.

Clingy Curtains

Sometimes home owners complain that an asian shower curtain clings, but in actuality this is to your benefit. These types of curtains feature two pieces, one meant to drape along the outside and another meant to drape inside the tub to prevent spillage. This inner sheet is actually meant to cling to the side of the tub, however an unfortunate side effect of this design means that it will also cling to your body. To prevent this, make sure your inner curtain is lined at the bottom with magnets. These will keep the curtain securely aligned with the tub wall rather than sticking to you.

One needs to consider several aspects of the situation, such as the aesthetics of the restroom itself as well as the purpose of this particular curtain. The Standing Curtain

The standing curtain is meant for small showers that are typically designed for just a single occupant. This type of curtain is used when there is no swinging door present, and is an easy solution to keeping water in where it should be and off of your bathroom floor.

The Long Curtain

Sometimes called an asian shower curtain, the long curtain is a two piece curtain that is meant to be used in showers with bath tubs. Larger shower without tubs typically feature a large sliding glass door to stop the water from getting out. With a bathtub however, this type of curtain is often the more convenient solution. It comes in two pieces, one sheet to be placed on the outside, while the second inner portion is meant to be draped inside the tub itself.
