My son loves to look up at this and play with the hanging toys. There's also plenty of room for him to roll around and light enough that he can shove it out of the way himself if necessary.

I bought the caterpillar when my son was 2 and a half months old. I wanted something that would entertain him even though he wasn't capable of interacting with a toy just yet. We would lay him in the boppy underneath it and he would watch the lights and listen to the music. He really enjoyed it. We joked that it was his first playstation. He would kick at the ball and star. When he got a little bigger, and was reaching for toys, he would grab at the toys and turn the music on with his feet. Then he got bored with it for a while. Now he is 7 months old and sitting up unassisted. I pulled it back out for the first time in about a month, and raised it up. Now he sits in front of it and is enjoying it at a whole new level. So, we've had the toy for 5 months now, and it was unused for 1 month. For those 4 months, he played with it on a daily basis. And you know, I have never changed the batteries on that thing! Overall, we're pretty happy with it.

My 3 months old loves it. It keeps her occupy for about 10 min then she gets bored and cry. Now she's 4 moths starts to turn the music on by herself which keeps her much more interesting.

Great Product. Very satisfied and pleased. We bought this after doing some research and found this to be the best one for our situation. We have an infant that was born prematurely and spend the first 5 months of his life in the hospital. With the Baby Einstein product, we were able to test our baby's eyesight and physical capabilities with all the bright colors and suspended play area on top. I recommend this product to anyone. Very Happy!!

Graco Baby Einstein Discover and Play This play pen/crib is perfect for visitors or traveling. It was extremely easy to assemble and even easier to take apart. My baby slept comfortably in the bassinet portion and I would recommend this to others.

After shopping around at the various baby stores and checking out all the competition I decided on this play yard for my grandchild as it was colorful, sturdy and easy to put together. The toys on the mobile are bright and delightful. Other portacribs only have funky toys on the mobiles and have too much in the way of diaper changing accessories that are nice but not necessary. The music it plays is great. The price is right too. I recommend this one.

I liked the concept of this toy (that it teaches babies colors, and how they combine), but its execution, not so much. My baby loves to stare at lights, so I thought he would enjoy this toy, but he actually finds this quite overwhelming (at five months). Perhaps he will enjoy it more later, but for now, he will not look at it for more than 30 seconds before he starts crying, and will not stop until we turn it off. I think it may be a little too intense for him right now since the colors flash very brightly and very quickly.

This is a great toy and teaches names of colors in three languages as well as teaches how two colors combined make a single color (ie red and yellow make orange).

My baby was initially attracted to the bright yellow fish and the music box. After 3 months, she started liking the octopus and all the different teethers and rattles on it. This activity mat entertains her. However, there are some quality and design issues - the collar on the octopus has threads coming off. One of the rings with beads also has open screws that rusted after washing the bead ring (washing is essential for the teething baby who tosses her toy everywhere). The rattle on the octopus is a bit cloudy. The mirror on the mat is not great quality. We have the Tiny Love activity mat as well, which is a better quality product. Both these mats entertained our baby from 2 months up. UPDATE: The good news is that after contacting Kids II, which makes this mat, I was informed the toys do not contain BPA.

This thing was adorable and I loved the music when I listened to it at the store. I actually got this as a shower gift, and even though he was tiny I decided to put it up right away...no go. I bought the most basic of cribs, but because it was a convertable crib (that changes to a day bed, and a "big boy" bed) the durn thing wouldn't strap on the crib. I never got it up, and I couldn't get it to attach to anything else (the headrest in the car, his packnplay, or his play area) so it's sat in the closet ever since. Boo hiss...

This is a great toy. It's a night light, it has classical and regular instrumental music and it encourages interaction. As a baby, the knobs were too hard for her to press so I just put it on the 12-minute continuous play mode. But now my daughter enjoys being the DJ. And the straps are convenient for me to hang this anywhere within her reach. I loved it so much I sent one to my best friend for her newborn!!! GREAT TOY!!! Overall, all my Baby Einstein purchases have met and exceeded my expectations.
