• Whenever you are thinking of making your purchase for a track lighting, see that you are buying all the parts from one manufacturer since the components are not interchangeable.
• Each light head is clipped into the track from where the power runs to reach each light.
• The light heads are flexible and can be rotated up or down, or from side to side, or pointed in any direction.

• A straight track light running along a hallway ceiling can be aimed at piece of art on either wall.
•  Various configurations can be used to customize a track to have maximum lighting where you need- onto an island or over a countertop.

Types of Light Bulbs for Track Lighting 

• You may select line voltage halogen lamps (PAR lamps) for most applications.
• The other option is to go for MR16’s (low voltage halogen) as they are best for accent lighting.
• Low voltage halogen requires transformers either installed into the ceiling or on each fixture head.

When to Skip Track Lighting

• Track lighting is not designed for general usage because it is a specialized lighting.
• Since the heads hang down of these lights, low ceilings rooms are not suggested to have them.
• This light has a contemporary look; therefore traditional décor areas should consider other lighting alternatives.
