      Chicago Cutlery 4-piece Paring/Utility Knife Set with Colored Handles These knives are great for paring. The color adds a little spice to kitchen work! Can't beat the price anywhere!

      We usually get what we pay for but in this case, at $3.99 we get more than we pay for. The best knife I own and have ever owned is a Henkel chef knife that I bought in the late seventies. It is as good today as it was then, and its quality far surpasses that of cheaper and no-name brand chef's knives I've seen. I own a Chicago Cutlery bread knife that cost me around $10 here on Amazon and it is an excellent bread knife for the money. I bought the 4-piece paring/utility knife set because I needed a few extra small knives and because I thought the bright primary colors would look good on my magnetic knife holder, and they do. I've used these knives for everything from cutting cooked pieces of meat into bite-sized portions, cutting vegetables, spreading butter, peanut butter,and Mayo on bread, opening packages, slicing tomatoes, chopping hard-boiled eggs for egg salad, and preparing potatoes for potato salad. The knives work fine for these purposes, the handles are comfortable, and they are very sharp. My Chicago Cutlery bread knife developed a small stain after I failed to wash it immediately after using it, and so I always wash and dry my Chicago Cutlery paring/utility knives immediately after use. All in all, a convenient set of kitchen knives made by a reputable cutlery manufacturer for a price that can't be beat given their quality.

      Was very excited to have received the item. In expected condition. Item came in very timely fasion. Great service!

      Whatever you do, DO NOT put these knives in a dishwasher. I did since there was nothing in or on the box which gave a warning. The result - the handles deteriorated in the process (changed color, surface wore off). The knives also do not fit snugly into their holder. One good feature - they do, supposedly, have a lifetime guarantee. We'll see what happens when I write the company to explain the dishwashing nightmare!
