   I wanted a guide that could be adjustable and accurate. This edge guide allow for fine tuning using two thumb screw stops. It also was a good price.

   This tool is very effective in accurately following an edge with a router freehand. I recommend is highly.

   I've used this edge quide for several projects. It's solid and adjusts smoothly. With the edge guide I had for my previous router was hard to adjust especially in small increments. This P-C edge guide adjusts smoothly with a center knob. Two knobs on the side secure the fence once it is adjusted.

   Good tool and good value, would buy again. Only problem is that the two screws holding guide to roter can wokd close and the guide could move while using, suggest that you check the screws each time before using

   I have used this edge guide on several projects. Despite the previous comments I have found it to work great for the intended purpose!

   Instead of a PC product, this is more like a dirt cheap sand casting from a 3rd world country. The "machining" is just as crude to boot. For instance, the guide rods are not even parallel in both the vertical and horizontal planes. And those cheap thumbscrews need pliers to keep the thing from slipping. I like the router it goes on, but this thing is a complete waste of money.

   I purchased the 42700 Edge Guide for use with my PC 7535 Speedmatic. The precision I get from this tool is worth every penny. For dados, rabbits, and flutes it works great and has expanded my routers roll in my shop. The edgeguide like all of my Porter-Cable tools has held up well to many hours of work.

   Am really pleased with edge guide. Have already used it to rout flutes in 40 pieces. Guide was simple to use. Very satisfied with product.

   Somewhere on the Amazon website I read that this guide would fit the 890... It will once I drill and tap a couple of new holes... Caveat Emptor!

   This item is only the metals at the front, not the router. pictures are misleading
