I have another Henckels knife set which is still in great condition after 4 years. But the blades of these two pieces are thinner and the handles not as sturdy. I used the board for small jobs like cutting fruits etc. Within a month, there appears to be a crack in the middle where the different pieces of wood meet.

Even when I was young I had always heard of Henckels as a good knife... so when I was old enough to afford my own knives, I naturally chose Henckels. And I know that I am passing on that legacy to my kids!!!!

I love these knives. Nice balance and well made. Very solid and they sharpen up nicely with little effort. It might be my fault for washing them in the dishwasher, but after a year I noticed little rust spots that began to appear. It will break my heart when and if they become too rusty to use.

These are low-end Henckels, which is fine, if that's what you're after. But don't expect the top quality usually associated with the Henckels name.

Not as good as the forged sets but great for a lower budget starter set. Easy to use and feels good in your hands.

I have an extensive collection of Henckels Pro-S knives at home. This set is to keep at my girl friend's house for cooking there. I'm pleased with each of the knives and the assortment in the set. Excellent balance, good fit to my hand, and solid.

I've had these knives 3 months now and use it daily as I cook a lot at home. They are very sharp and quite heavy though well balanced. Someone with a smaller hand or less beefy arms might find them a tad too big and heavy and might want to look at Global knives. However, these have been great for me and the missus making light work of cutting roast, vegetable etc. A sharp set of knives is a must and these will last a lifetime.

The knife set is absolutely fantastic! The knives are razor sharps, feel great in the hand, and ring like a tuning fork when sharpened. They look, feel and cut like quality. They hold an edge far longer than I expected, staying sharp for weeks between honing on the sharpening steel. They are a little heavy in the hand, but very well balanced. I highly recommend them. The best knives I've ever owned.
