I purchased the 15 inch frame and although it was very clear it was awkward to find a place in the house where it could be displayed. Keep in mind that if put on a wall it needs an electrical outlet behind the frame or a way to disguise the electrical chord. Another significant issue was the memory card inserts from the bottom of the frame. Thus when you want to change the memory chard you have to pick up the entire frame, turn it over and balance it while you change out the card. I felt this was inconvenient for a large (15 inch) frame. It could just as easilty been put on the side thus it could be changed out merely by rotating the frame.

1024 x 768 resolution is just absolutely bright and colors are sharp. This is a big frame I use for signage for our small dine in restaurant, works great to post our daily specials for the day. Definitely money well spent.

I've never written an Amazon review and I've never returned a product I purchased through Amazon. But, I have to say that this was the worst product I can imagine for displaying photos and images. What appears on the screen cannot even be justifiably called an "image". Don't buy it!

After a lot of searching, and knowing that NONE of the frames in the market is really "clean", here's what happened here: We got it, liked the display quality (bright, very good resolution, nice frame) when we plugged in a flash memory card directly from a camera. However, when we tried to load (using its own USB interface and built in software) more photos and music, we ran into problems with "not enough space" messages, corrupted files that were uploaded, etc. But there's a solution, albeit not from the non-responding company support line and the empty (!) knowledge base on their web site. It turns out you need to erase and reformat your flash drive as a FAT32 directory format (not FAT16, not old FAT). You can do that if you have one of those cheap general purpose multi-style flash card USB gadgets. I have 2 or 3 of those, I know I got some of them as a free gift so they must be cheap. On a Windows system, right-click the flash drive and select Format, with a FAT32 directory. On a MAC OS X use the disk utility to erase the drive, and it will format with the desired FAT32. Then, what we did is collect all the files we wanted in a folder, and when we had all of them we copied and pasted all the files at once to the drive. Worked beautifully on Compact flash and SD drives that we tried. I have a feeling that to add anything more, we'll have to re-erase and copy-paste, so we are keeping the content directory on the computer for now.... It was a nice challenge, but the frame works well now.

      Problems from the start
It might be just my experience but I'm not impressed with it considering it takes a dozen tries to get the frame to start working right for the price I paid for it
      Pros: Great picture quality.
Cons: Can't have USB and memmory card in at the same time.nDon't know what I'm doing wrong as the power goes out on the screen within a couple of seconds from turning it on. It dosn't recognize the USB all the time or the power supply which might be the problem.

      User Friendly, Decent Resolution

Pros: Nice wooden frame unlike cheap acrylic. This looks very nice in my home office. The cost is acceptable, there are cheaper but this comes with 256mb memory. It was easy to operate, pretty much plug and play didn't need to read manual. Pictures are auto-sized appropriately not streteched wide to fit the screen. On/Off Timer comes in handy as you never want LCD on 24/7.
Cons: It doesn't support my video clips from Sony DSC camera but this has to do with Sony's proprietary format. It plays my MVI clips from my Canon SD1000. Not sure if it's cuz of the black trim, the pictures do seem a bit dark but this does have brightness/contrast features.

First, the remote seems to not work at all. But even if it did, you do not want this frame for two reasons. It does not play the slideshow randomly (it only plays in the order the photos are loaded). But the kicker is this: there are three speeds for playing the slideshow. The fastest changes the picture every second, medium changes every three seconds, and the slowest changes every six seconds. What were they thinking? All three speeds are so fast that it'll drive you completely insane. Even at every six seconds the pictures change so rapidly that you barely get a glimpse of the image and then its gone. Do not buy this. Get one that plays randomly and allows the pictures to remain for at least a full minute, maybe even five minutes. Our other one allows for a minute, five minutes, even a half hour or hour. Trust me, after you've had one of these for a while, you won't want the images constantly changing. It's annoying and it's a distraction.

Bought this for a fathers / mothers day gift for my parents. They have been having fun loading pictures, seeing what all it will do.

The picture is sharp, but it'd be nice if the frame would maximize the pictures on its screen automatically. I don't like the white spaces on the sides.

ordered the frame and it was delivered to my home on third day. here are my initial impression, frame: widescreen format so regular pictures leave vertical bands on both sides. it has a very imbalance black markings on top and bottom, which is not a big problem when you get accustomed to the frame but at initial look. it made me think what was the designer thinking. the on/off feature is nice and functional. vertical viewing angle is somewhat limited, but horizontal angle is good Screen: it appears to be a widescreen style. all my pictures showed vertical bands on both the sides. good resolution for all the images observed even for max zoom. a regular screen should have been a great idea instead of widescreen. will resize some of the images to 1024x768 resolution and then try them. Pictures: because of the widescreen style the pictures needs to be reformated to fit the entire screen. pressing the enter button on the back zooms the images without loss of resolution. all my images from a 8mp camera looked great. some of my images from the camcorder (1MP) also looked very good. Video: played video as well to test the capability of the frame. all the home video look good. the frame mentions only avi, mpeg video, however I was able to play MOV files from my kodak camera as well withouth any hitch. next I played avi movies, the picture was okay little pixelation was observed, i do not know the reason so will not go in details. overall i played 3 avi files of 45 mins each and it was good viewing. Sound: single speaker, tinny. but again the frame is not made for music so it can be forgiven, but atleast a stereo sound should have been provided. expansion slot: the included 1GB sd card worked, but it recognized a 4GB micro sdhc card as well. USB drive: upto 4Gb working. computer connection not tried. Powersupply: the included powersupply cord is small. a bigger cord would have been nice.

If you want to load any video, you need to use the "Evil Empire" Windows system since any Apple Quicktime (the defining movie system!) file will not play. Along with customer service that sounds like it came from China, this company should be out of business by next Christmas if not sooner.

Purchased this frame for my wife and she absolutely loves it. So easy to use and the quality is excellent. The frame comes with a 1GB SD card but I use my own 2GB card. The extra card is nice as I'll use with my camera while viewing slideshow on my other card. The picture frame also supports background music while the slideshow is playing which is a real nice touch. You can adjust the screen by using the remote control to either 16:9 (wide screen) or 4:3 which is full screen (just like a wide screen TV). Includes a USB cable to connect to your computer (we are running windows XP) then you can easily drag and drop pictures and music. I love this frame and Highly recommend it. Also - I did have a question for their technical support team regarding the movie playback option this frame offers and they were most helpful.

I hate this camera because it exposes what a crappy photographer I am. Many of my pictures come out "so-so" right now and marginally better than my point and shoot. Spending a little time to get off the autofocus and use manual controls yielded pictures that far surpassed my old 7MP Nikon when dealing with moving objects, which was my primary challenge. I am concerned with the 50,000 picture rating for the shutter since I've already shot 800 pictures in just the first 20 days of owning this camera (you can shoot a lot at a sporting event) but, for the price, it was unbeatable with a decent, versatile stock lens. I'm now realizing the limitations of the lens and what separates the low from the high but this camera is a learning experience for anyone who doesn't really shoot at a high level. It will require you to invest the time to get excellent pictures out. You'll be disappointed like myself in the same way getting a great HDTV brings out the limtiations of standard cable. But look at it this way - once you start learning about the basics, e.g. the relationship of ISO to aperture to shutter speed and setting the priority mode, etc. you're on your way to pictures that are far superior to your point and shoot and difficult to go back. Apparently it doesn't have all the fine settings of the 40D nor the 100K shutter rating but I'm not sure it matters at this price. If you want a sub-$800 SLR with a decent stock lens, there is no better camera, and I was hoping the Nikon D60 would be my choice. Not so. Learning all the detailed options that are still remaining made me realize now that this camera has far more important features than the competition, all which requires an investment in photography to get great pictures. It's a crime with this camera to even think of using the auto-settings.

I spent a lot of time researching SLR cameras and trying to find one that would fit my needs the best, and the Canon Rebel XSi succeeded in more ways than one. Even if you don't know much about SLR cameras this one does almost everything for you when set on the auto setting. It will make you an awesome photographer with little effort. The quality of the pictures is amazing! I would highly recommend this camera to anyone!

I have been a loyal Canon user for many years. I own a 30D and the MarkIIID. The Mark IIID was sent back for the recall to address the AF. The work they did to it negatively effected the color balance. It was sent back to the factory. The factory then lost my camera (having shipped it with the wrong FEDEX number). They sent another Mark III. It had back focus problems. In the meantime, another camera was sent as a loaner. It was proudly pronounced in tip top shape and was new. It arrived half packed, used, dirty sensor and dirty contacts for the lens. The AF didn't work. Canon believes that they didn't do anything wrong. Customer Service Rep. Elizabeth Wood responded with a litany of liability-speak but bottom line, they would only send another camera. The MarkIII has significant AF problems, even with the firmware upgrade. Save yourself the stress, don't buy Canon

After reading bad reviews on the focus problems with this camera I waited a while to pull the trigger. I shoot sports, equestrian (some indoors), and stage dance. I bought this camera for low light useage, and the superior focus speed. I have not been dissapointed. I use 3200iso when necessary without any worries. My mark3 came from Canon with the latest firmware update already installed. The battery life is incredible, shot 1700 images and still had 40% left. The wait was worth it.

When one reads the early reviews of this camera, they will be surprised to see the focusing problems experienced by a seeminly large number of photographers. Canon has come out with both hardware and firmware fixes to this body. I purchased a model with a serial number indicating manufacture after these fixes have been effected. I am having absolutely no issues with this camera's focusing in both focusing modes. I love this camera. It is truely a magnificient camera. For those of you who are serious about your photography, you won't be disappointed (except for the cost). Enjoy if its in your budget.
