   Since I wrote my review on the 36' cabinet master clamps I have broken two of them. The pot metal in the heads shattered when hand tightening them. My advice now is stay from them.

   When they open these are great clamps. Two concerns. They slam shut when you lift them from the opposite clamp end...be careful.Don't tightened them in the fully closed position... otherwise they become awkward croquet clubs. Treat them right and they'll treat you likewise. Great performance but useability weakness nets four star from me. I, would buy more!

   The clamps are fantastic. The packaging and shipping by Amazon leave a lot to be desired. If I had known they were going to waste so much cardboard and packing material, I would have gone to HD and paid more just to keep the waste down to a dull roar. I ordered six clamps, all of which would have fit easily in two boxes with appropriate packing. Amazon put them in five different overly large boxes. Two of them received damage as a result of poor packaging. They tossed each clamp into the bottom of the box, then put crumpled butcher paper on top. As a result the clamps weren't protected nearly as well as they could have been. Somebody with a head on their shoulders should get out of their office, go down to shipping, and re-evaluate what's going on as this shipment resulted in an enormous amount of waste and the potential for costly returns. (I ended up disassemling two of the clamps to repair them myself). They could have used half the materials and, with care, could have easily protected the contents. One other gripe. They put two large sticky barcode labels on the steel bar of each clamp. The manufacturer already had one small one there. It is such a pain to have to scrape this stuff off, then find a solvent to remove the glue...all of which has to be done before the clamp can be used. Come on guys, give us a break, enough with the stickers and glue!

   I have a pair of these clamps that I've owned for less than 6 months and used less than 5 times. This weekend I was using them and one broke while I was tightening it with one hand. I've owned Bessy's for years with no problems.

   THESE CLAMPS ARE EXCELLENT. THE SCREWS ARE SMOOTHE AND THE HANDLES ARE EASY TO GRASP. I LIKE TO STAND THEM ON END ,OUT OF THE WAY, WHILE THE GLUE SETS.ONLY DRAWBACK FOR ME,THE 24''CLAMPS COULD BE AN INCH LONGER AS I LIKE TO OVERSIZE MY PANELS SLIGHTLY AND TRIM LATER. OTHER THAN THAT THEY ARE SUPER.
