I bought this product for my wife, who is not much of a cell phone user, and she just loves it. It is just dirt simple, and that's exactly what she needs. She never has to remember to charge it or even turn it on - she just leaves it plugged into her 12V plug all the time. Now she leaves her cell phone in her purse, gets in the car, and drives. The Bluetooth links up automatically, and she can receive calls that come in by pressing the button on this device. The sound quality is quite good, too. Based on her feedback, I've decided to buy one for myself. I look forward to no more fumbling with my earpiece when my phone rings, or worse, driving around with the thing hanging from my ear.

This speakerphone is very easy to set up and convenient to use. Because it is just plugged into the cigarette lighter it is on whenever the ignition is on and you never have to worry about charging it. It does have to be located wherever your lighter socket is, so it wouldn't work on some cars, but works fine on both cars I tried it on. It is easy to hear, but the microphone is a little weak, and of course your voice fades if you look to the left while talking.

Easy to install and it works well enough. Speaker sound quality is not great, but it is loud and understandable. Mike pickup seems to be better than my more expensive EGO Cup (also a 12 volt system). Like my other 12 volt system, how loud one must talk depends on the amount of noise in the car. Normal voice level when car is at traffic light and low speeds, and have to talk loud when on freeway, even with windows closed. However, people on receiving end say what they hear is easy to understand. Agree with others that the unit does not feel substantial. In addition, on my car, the fit into the socket is not snug.

I have had this car kit for a while now and the functionality is amazing. The data cable comes in handy for your Nokia phone and charges as well as connects. Using Bluetooth, you can connnect to any Bluetooth compatible phone. The remote is a small wheel with button center and measures about an inch across so you can mount it anywhere, including under the steering column (which I did with velcro, included in the kit.) This way it is out of the way and invisible to those prying eyes looking for anything to set your car apart as a target for thievery. The microphone is the only other visible piece and it hides nicely away near the visor. I don't know about anyone else out there, but I have nearly been in several wrecks both in my car and on my motorcycle that I beleive could have been avoided by using a handsfree device such as this. Handsfree is the law in certain states, mine is not one of them, but if you don't get a handsfree for you do it for someone else!

Ok for listening, HORRIBLE for talking
Its really a shame, the only thing keeping this review from reading "wow, what a great deal" is the fact that the microphone on this is absolute garbage. Makes you sound like your mouth is full of cotton. Everyone you talk to will actually complain because it makes it very difficult for them to understand you. I traded it with someone to hear this myself, and I was amazed at just how bad this makes you sound. Until they fix the microphone sound quality on this, this is a bad deal at any price.
Pros: very cheap, basic functions ok, sound quality decent and loud enough
Cons: Extremely bad sounding subpar microphone. Everyone you talk to will complain.

I got this version from I O Gear as the version that I lost was so terrific. The headset for this model is useless, if you have ears. The earpiece is unusable - whoever designed it and approved its use should be required to wear it an entire day, they would find that it is not possible. Beyond its practical use because of the poor over-the-ear comfort, the headset, when held up to my ear seemed to have decent sound quality - the fact that no one could hear me was more than a little disappointing. Apparently the microphone on my particular headset doesn't work. Since I just received this and discovered that I could not wear the ear piece or could anyone hear me, I am planning to return it. Save yourself the hassle. It is a shame that I O Gear chose to change the design, the previous model was so comfortable, that I did not even know I was wearing the earpiece.

This bluetooth headset is absolutely horrible. I do not recommend it to anyone. My phone works wonderfully well with the Plantronics 510, a highly reviewed/regarded headset and let me tell you it is a dream compared with this garbage. I actually like talking on the phone again. Here are my reasons: My phone: Motorola L2 This headset: Does not hold its charge long Does not sound so good crackles and pops like a radio station that is 10 miles away EVEN when it is in my POCKET! it disconnects every 10 seconds when your not talking to someone it frequently doesn't connect when I tell it to it is worth the extra 20 bucks to pick up a nice one like I recommended. It makes ALL the difference. By the way, I trouble shot these issues with their tech support and they said it was prolly my phone or a defective model possibly. But they did not admit to ever hearing of these problems before. Funny when all the reviewers seem to say the same thing about this product. Someone should slap iogear with a class action lawsuit for this piece of junk.
