   i got this camera to replace one i dropped in the pool. i am very happy the camera. it takes great shots and battery lasts for ever.

   I bought this camera on the excellent recommendations from Ken Rockwell's site, as well as the Amazon reviews. However, upon receiving it, I got the 'Lens Error, restart camera' error and the camera is not able to take pictures. I might up the rating when I receive a new one - this one is heading back to Amazon.

   Works as advertised, takes great pictures and decent video. As with any camera nowadays, there are more features than I know what to do with.

   Was looking for an efficient camera with a broad range of capabilities. This camera did the job. The strap for carrying the camera should be used all the time because it can easily slip out of hand without it. My first CoolPix had a strap that was long enough to carry around the neck. That was a much more secure method of safety from dropping the camera. I tucked it into a pocket, or belt and never had to worry if it slipped out of place. (I purchased a case but it is a pain to be taking it in and out). Other than that, - it is great! I plan to purchase an extra battery as an emergency backup.

   A very good point and shoot camera. I have had several different Nikons cameras and I have enjoyed them all. This one takes really high quality pictures. The menu system is a little different than my Nikon L5 but I am able to adapt. So far the battery has been able to meet my needs. I may have to buy a second battery when I take it on travel. Overall I am very pleased with the camera. Nikon makes a very good product.

   I researched the heck out of this camera before buying it....it's purpose was for our Disney trip, specifically the water parks. I tried it out at home in the pool and just love this camera. People are amazed at the underwater videos I've taken, and the pictures come out great too. Not so good on maximum zoom in low light, but that's the only complaint. I got a 8gb microsd and came home from florida with 300 hundred photos and a TON of video, with a ton of memory to spare. This camera has given us video memories that NO OTHER little camera would do. My only suggestion is to keep an eye on the lens if you're using it in the water. Sometimes a droplet of water will stay on the lens and show up on subsequent pictures. I just blow on it to get rid of any water. No viewfinder is really no problem....I haven't used one since my first digi camera 10 years ago!!! I feel bad for those who have had trouble with this camera, because for me, it's been amazing.

   Appears to be a nice product, but if the LCD goes black then you have no view finder and no access to the functions. The camera only worked for a few days so I would not recommend it.

   The Olympus Stylus 1030SW has been shipping with a known defect by Olympus. In the video recording mode the sound track contains a popping sound. It is generated by any touching of the camera. Olympus is supposedly coming out with a firmware fix in September. The buyer should beware of this problem and perhaps wait to purchase until a fix is incorporated in the cameras.

   Takes great photos and I love the touch screen interface. Faster shooting then with some cameras and excellent quality with more features than I know what to do with. Love the smile shutter too!

   this is an excellent product. the lense and zoom have to be tried to be believed and the touch screen is phenonmenal. if you love photography and don't want a bulky camera, this is the equipment for you.

   I purchased this camera a month ago and so far it's been a great purchase. The camera has great focus and the pictures never come out blurry, battery life is quite good and the big LCD is nice for displaying the pictures

   MAC OS Leopard
   I'm sure the OS would be fine if I could get it to work (hence the 1 star review).nI will have to take to Apple Store as I cannot intall it. I have the system specifications but even with online help could not get it to install.

   Must-Have Upgrade for Mac OS
   This is an awesome upgrade of an already great operating system. The cover flow search feature works quickly and helps identify documents you're looking for quickly and accurately. The spring loaded folders really do keep the desktop uncluttered. So far all of my existing software seems to work fine with the new operating system. Installation was flawless.
   Pros: works well, easy to use

   Apple Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard
   This was very easy to install and has some wonderful features, like Time Machine, Stacks, Cover Flow and Spaces. It did cause some problems with QuickTime and Flash, but I found an easy fix on Apple's support discussions. Mail also has some great features and lots of templates to set up your own personalized email. Overall this was definitely worth updating too. Bugs were minor and easily fixed.

   One terrific camera. Months of research paid of 100 times over with this little gem. A palm size HD camcorder that is user friendly, takes great movies, and under a grand. Enough said, buy one.

   So I am a dad taking video of my family. I wanted the best HD camcorded possible. I originally purchased the Panasonic HDC-SD5. It has beautiful color AS LONG AS YOU ARE OUTSIDE WITH GOOD LIGHTING. Any video shot indoors are pixelated. In fact, even outside shadows pixelate - like if somebody is wearing a hat and their face is shaded. So I spent the money and purchased the Vixia HF10, then shot side-by-side video inside and outside for comparison. Figured I'd return the HF10 if it didn't give the results I wanted. Results: the HF10 is MUCH MUCH better quality in low light conditions like indoors. The Panasonic SD5 has slightly (but noticeable) more vibrant colors in well lit outdoor conditions. For me, the low light advantages of the HF10 far outweigh the perfect/vibrant colors of the SD5 outside. In fact, if I wasn't comparing two videos side-by-side I would not notice the more vibrant colors of the SD5. I've benefited from the great user reviews here at amazon so wanted to give back. Hope it helps others when making their purchase decision. Now I have an $800 Panasonic "stand-by" video camera I guess :)

   The Canon VIXIA HF10 is a great camera. It has many pros and very few cons. The pros are: the fantastic HD camera resolution and color, easy to use 3MP camera, beautiful LCD display, and general ease of use. The cons are: the power cable needs to be plugged in to transfer video and pictures (why?!?), the display needs to be opened to use the camera (it shuts itself down otherwise), and the limited battery (only about an hour with HD recording). All in all, a good purchase.

   I bought two of these so I could hang one by my table saw and one by my lathe. That way I'm not always across the room from them. These are more comfortable then my previous pair. With my 1 1/2hp dust collector running right next to me and the router table going I can really tell the db reduction. I'd buy these again.

   Very satisfied with the purchase of myPeltor Professional Noise Canceling Earmuff #H10A #H10A noise canceling earmuffs. Had an older pair from same manufacturer that served me well. The new muffs are somewhat different in appearance and design, much better, more comfort while wearing. The price was right and the appearance is styling! Thanks, Ed
