Love it, Love it, Love it!!! This is the best 'laptop' I've ever had -- great graphics, serious sound, and a cool keyboard design. Vista Professional runs like a charm, with no performance problems. Although on the heavy side, I'm extremely happy with my Toshiba Qosmio.

Bought the laptop for college, very few complaints. The built-in camera goes wonky every now and then, but aside from that, everything is great. Very sleek and stylish. It is rather large though, so not the most portable laptop around.

I had a Toshiba Satellite Notebook and experienced great warranty service. This time I decided to buy one of the top of the line notebook from Toshiba. But the notebook went in to problem little more than a month after I got it. I sent it to repair shop and I was notified it was the main board problem. They ordered new main boards twice still can not fix the problem. I wounder if this is only an isolated problem or Toshiba computer is not reliable at all.

If you're even considering buying this product, think otherwise. I bought it when it was $1,000, a year later laptops from HP & Dell from the same generation that run about $600 blow it out of the water. By far, it is the worst machine I have ever used trying to play games. Games like, Counter Strike 1.6, it gets a very very very very low FPS rate of about 10-20. Vista runs like death on it and everything runs slower and becomes intolerable over time. Battery life is ok for me at least, probably the only PRO to it. Currently, software is falling apart and Microsoft Explorer locks up every few minutes, harddrive is failing and data is being lost. It almost never updates, problems with its own drivers. Hardware wise, for some reason, my DVD-RW drive that's in it, does not want to read DVDs anymore. For some other reason, a piece (not sure what it is, but it's small) broke off and not movement of the laptop turns it into a very expensive morocco. The most annoying part is that any obtuse angle in movement of the screen results in weird green banding/lines spreading across the screen. I've done nothing but major web browsing and (tried to) do some mild gaming with this laptop. I've always taken care of it and know my way around computers. It's just an awful product. Don't buy it, at any price.

Excellent desktop replacement. This laptop has all the features of a desktop, including the numeric key pad. It is not light, but the large screen is pleasant to look at, and the computer has no problems - unlike other laptops I have owned.

I got this to use as an ebook reader. It will load the software for most ebook formats. Great for use on the subway. I also use the wifi feature, and get on the internet with it also. Good for taking meeting notes with the pen, and can attach a full sized keyboard with USB. Just right when you need something more than a PDA, but don't need the larger screen of a laptop.

Screen intermittant right out of box-- twist the case a little and would come on and off-- finally started to work-- alas-- 2 weeks later completely laid down-- no screen output--( sent it back and got my money back) mighty expensive tablet to fail outof box--- look for extended warranty if you just got to have size-- p.s. the joy stick entry is useless--- if your going to type on it you need the keyboard --- you can get it and case bundled for about 75.00-- its a must. *** CHECK OUT THE SCREEN WHEN YOU FIRST GET IT-- BE SURE ITS NOT INTERMITTANT!****

First off, this computer is very slick looking, like a sports car. Second, it's great running on XP (I've heard that Vista runs meh on the device). Third, and the reason I love this device, is that it's that happy medium between PDA and full fledged computer. I loved PDAs when they came out (had 2), but they got merged with phones. I think the developers have stuck gold with UMPCs. Pros: Small Long battery life (better than the SSD Asus 4g computer-which I have) Immensely portable 2 USB ports Good amount of RAM (good for XP, not for Vista) On device keyboard (okay, maybe not, but it's better than nothing--you can always attach another keyboard to the thing) Cons: 800mhz is too slow for higher end applications (then again, why would run high end stuff on this anyway?) Some advice: If you want this, get it with XP installed. If you want Vista, wait until they come out the 2 gb model with a higher cpu speed.

I bought the laptop a year ago. After two weeks the computer would crash at random times. I thought adding more Ram would help so I upgraded to 2 gigs.....still happened. I called tech support and they told me to reinstall vista. I did this and the problems still occured. I then sent the laptop back to Toshiba for service....problem not fixed. The warranty has now expired and this piece of junk is worse now than ever. The computer has crashed 28 times this month (Aug 08) I would give this laptop 0 stars if possible. Save your money!!!!!!

I've been using various companies' laptops to test. A215-S4757's only flaw is that it doesn't have a bluetooth built-in. You can have an add-on, which is not a big deal. The HD is abundant - 250GB. Though the screen is big, it is light compared to others. I understand some people's coomplaints about the mouse-pad that makes typing fast annoying and time consuming because the mouse-pad is too sensitive and often knocks off what you have been working on. (TIP: Uninstall he current driver and install "ALPS" mouse pointer software instead of "Synaptics."

I recently bought this computer, the first time that I turn on the computer everything seems to be working just fine. The second time the computer put itself a BIOS password and now I cannot access my laptop, I researched about this and apparently this is a well know Toshiba issue and they don't do anything about it. I call costumer service and they told me that I should take my computer to the support company in my country and wait for their solution. THIS IS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I BOUGHT A TOSHIBA. DELL is much better concerning new computers and costumer support.
