Although the volume is very low when used without headphones,(and when would you ever use it without headphones anyway?) I almost went deaf when I cranked up the sound when using my crappy Ipod head phones. Great screen size and the swivel screen is an added bonus. You can turn the screen all the way around to block access to removing the disk. My 2 year old daughter loves putting in and taking out disks, so blocking her from doing this while I'm driving saves me from having to re buy the movies she wrecks because of it. You can also watch 3+ movies before the battery dies, and there aren't to many players you can say that about.

I bought a Panasonic DVD-LS80 8.5" Portable DVD Player for my sister and didn't like it as much as this Toshiba SD-P91S 9-Inch Portable DVD Player. The size is bigger most of other portable player but this has a bigger screen, easier to watch from a distance. I liked the design, looked very nice and the quality was good, worth my money! Glad I bought it!

I set out looking for a portable that I could depend on when travelling. I wanted a bigger screen and quality audio visual because I really want to enjoy my movies and other DVD whether they are on the small screen or hooked-up to a bigger screen. I really feel like I found what I was looking for in this model. In the box: Player, battery pack, remote control, power cords and adapters for home and car, special AV cables for output to a TV, owner's manual, etc. Setup: Straightforward. Attach the battery pack, plug it in and power it up. Power is controlled by a hard power switch on the left side of the unit. Performance: First, let me say that the picture quality is very good. The output is only 480p and its LCD, so the picture can appear lined in bright daylight scenes, but that is as expected I think. The sound quality is excellent through a headset. The volume control is good and can be raised to compensate for car sounds, although I can see how in high noise areas noise-cancelling headphones would be helpful. The built-in speakers are limited and tinny sounding. I had expected the quality issues, but was a bit surprised by the volume. Connecting to other devices: Because the output is 480p, the resolution of the display may be degraded from what one might expect of an HD display unit, but definitely meets the quality of the player's standard. Sound is quite good as well, coming across as well as through my standard DVD player. Connecting is easy, although the connection to the SDP19S is non-standard, so don't lose the cable! Notes: The remote control is larger than I expected and very full-featured - very nice! The body of this device is solid and could take a beating. The swivel for the screen is firm and solid as well - you won't accidentally separate screen and body. I haven't tried all the different kinds of media this player accepts, so I can't address them. All in all, I think this is a very well made, technically sound, and fully featured DVD player.

Pruduct is good except for the battery, it dies (for ever .... dead) after couple of months of use. Since it has a 110 VAC and a 12 VDC connector, to me it has not been a major problem.

This product has saved my life when traveling on long trips. Because I'm in a compact truck the lap-top style of DVD player just wasn't going to work for me. This is exactly what I needed. The only problem so far is that the battery doesn't last more than 15 minutes if it's not plugged in. Since I want to use this on the airplane, that is a problem, so I'm looking into it. As far as I know they've phased this DVD player out and have an upgraded version. I think this one is pretty good and getting it on clearance was a steal, so I'm sure their upgrade is probably pretty good too! Oh ya, all the added accessories make it pretty awesome too.

My daughter loves this thing. Our DVD player went out and we were watching videos throughout Christmas day. So we borrowed her Christmas present (the iLuv) and plug it into the TV. Works great by itself and with our tv. My daughter especially likes the carrying bag.

I AM WAITING FOR I LUV TO REPLACE THIS UNIT, VIDEO DOES NOT WORK WITH AN 80GB VIDEO IPOD,I ONLY USED IT ONCE, IT NEVER WORKED THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, THE DVD PLAYER SUDDENLY STOPS AND RESTARTS ON A DIFFERENT CHAPTER, I THINK THE QUALITY MUST BE HIT AND MISS, I UNDERSTAND THEY FIXED MOST OF THESE PROBLEMS IN THE NEW 8.4 INCH VERSION WHICH JUST CAME OUT FROM READING OTHER REVIEWS SO I WOULD BUY THAT UNIT INSTEAD. THE SCREEN IS NOT THAT BAD FOR THE PRICE BUT THIS UNIT APPEARS TO HAVE QUESTIONABLE QUALITY.

It's a wonderful ideal product but charge this thing and take on a trip. I was using it on airplane and as soon we were told electronics can be used, I turned on the I-Luv and about 5 mins later, the battery went dead as the item has done over and over.

Our iLUV DVD player stopped working after 10 months of use. We emailed the company to request a repair or exchange, but they did not return our emails. I do not recommend purchasing products from iLUV.

Purchased this item at C. City yesterday. Charged all day. Tonight plugged in my Insignia 8 inch DVD player without its own battery. The player has been running a movie non-stop (I keep restarting it) for 5 hours. Indicator lights show 2 of 3 still lit for charge. Running this at full brightness, but no sound. I have a "disc" style Energizer battery as well. This is the 3 hour model. My plan for this 8 hour model is to help on a 9.5 hour flight. So far, I think this is fine. So, to close, I am not sure why this is rated so low. Rated a 4 since I have not taken the flight yet.

I bought the case and a 10" Phillips PET1030 DVD player prior to a vacation where we drove 750 miles one-way to entertain the kids since our Honda Civic does not have a built-in entertainment system. The case was used for storing the player when the player was not in use and for transporting it in and out of the car and the cabin. For this use, it is very good and our player fits very nicely without too tight or too sloppy a fit. In addition, it has a one-into-two headphone splitter so both kids can hear the movie while Mom & Dad hear silence. However, the case has very little storage so only six or eight discs minus the cases or protective sleeves can be stored in the slip-out holder. The charger cable's plug had to be shoved down into the storage that insufficient to accomodate it and this left a sizeable lump on the back side of the case which prevented it from sitting flat. Since it was one of the less expensive models I looked at, I guess we got the value for which we paid $21.46. It was and is worth the money.

I purchased this to carry my Philips PET1030 10.2" Portable DVD Player. This is pretty close to a perfect fit for the Philips PET1030, but even so I am slightly disappointed with bag. It keeps my player safe and snug, but I am unhappy at the amount of additional storage space. I cannot, for instance, carry my external power supply in the case. Extra cables of any kind are a bit of a snug fit. I do like the side pocket that holds several DVDs, but basically all this bag allows me to carry are my DVD player, a few DVDs, and the remote. If I stuff a bit I can get maybe a single item in the second side pocket. Unfortunately, I don't have any alternative bags to suggest. And for many people perhaps the lack of storage space isn't a problem. In fact, I often will carry my DVD player in the Case Logic bag inside my messenger bag along with a couple of books and a power supply. When I do this I suppose I'm grateful the bag has so little in the way of extra space, since it takes up so little in my bag. If you are getting a Philips PET1030 10.2" Portable DVD Player, then you can rest assured that it will fit perfectly into this bag. If you want to carry much more than the player itself, you might want to explore other options.

To bad there is no way to attach the video player to the case, the player slides around on the nylon material the case is made from. A bit more storage would be nice to there is some room , but if you have a couple power adaptors and headphones , maybe an additional connection wire or 2 and yourun out of room real quick.

I was looking for a case for my Audiovox dual-screen setup (purchased at Target), I think they are 7" screens. The fit was pretty snug - I had to struggle to zip it closed. But it holds them well and there are plenty of pockets. If you have a large DC charger/power supply, I don't think you'll be able to fit it in here.

This is a really nice case for your DVD player. It comes with straps so that you can mount it to the headrests in your car. It also has 3 separate compartments to hold battery, chargers, DVDs, etc. The case is very tight around the DVD player which is a good thing. Make sure the dimensions of your DVD plaer will actually fit. We barely got ours in.
