Color, personality, and lots of hair! The Gypsy Vanner originated in the United Kingdom. Created by the Gypsies, these horses were not only bred to be beautiful, they also needed to be useful. Serving as a mode of transportation, Gypsy Vanners needed to be strong to pull large wagons in caravans, and kind enough to be around a family's children. Resembling a small draft, Gypsy Vanners typically have a heavy feathering on their legs, and have lush manes and tails. They can come in many colors and patterns. The very first Gypsy Vanners were imported to the United States in 1996, and today this sturdy and intelligent breed is gaining popularity. They are still used for driving, in addition to being enjoyed as riding mounts, and can be seen on the trail and in the show ring! Traditional 1:9 Scale. Aprox 12" L X 9" H.

Funny, flirtatious and fan-friendly describes the mighty 17-hand Zenyatta, who re-wrote racing history in 2009 by beating an all-male field to become the first mare ever to win the Breeders' Cup Classic. Indomitable on the track, this "super filly" was undefeated in 19 consecutive races, outperforming former consecutive win record holders Cigar and Citation. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Zenyatta models go to three great charities: the fantastic Thoroughbred rescue/retirement home Old Friends, The Race for Education - providing educational programs and college scholarships to young people in the equine and agriculture industry with significant financial need, and Canter California's Thoroughbred adoption program. You can visit Old Friends at www.oldfriends.org, The Race for Education at www.racingscholarships.com and Canter California at www.canterusa.org/california for more information.

In 2001 Redfield farm imported a six year-old mare from Europe. Her new owner Barbara Kearney named the mare for her beloved grandmother, Gramma Gail, who was born on Valentine's Day. At the time Barbara did not know who the mare's sire or dam were nor could she have predicted the hunter champion her mare would eventually become. This incredible mare was a force to be reckoned with in the show ring, racking up wins until her eventual retirement in 2007 at the prestigious Devon Horse Show. This beautiful mare and her son, Heartbreaker are a wonderful addition to any Breyer collection.
