Specifications: Single outlet valve. Has a threaded inlet hose connection. Diagnosis and Repair Tips Diagnosis and Repair Tips Repair Skill Level: Failure Symptoms: Water not dispensing, no ice production or water is leaking, either at the door or ice maker. How to test: With a multimeter, measure voltage at the solenoids when water should be dispensed. Resistance of the coil may also be tested, but that is not a 100% accurate test and may result in an incorrect diagnosis. If voltage is present but no water flows from valve, that indicates a faulty valve. Repair Tip: Make sure water pressure to the valve is adequate. Most valves require at least 30 PSI to operate correctly. Many Reverse Osmosis systems do not provide that amount of pressure. Search Appliance Repair Forum for related posts.
