A/C Hose: Suction Pipe - evaporator to compressor for BMW

Air Conditioning Hoses, just like every other component in your vehicle, can wear down over time. If one of your hoses has a leak, you may notice your air conditioning getting warmer over time. The compressor will cycle on and off much faster than normal and eventually, you will lose your air con. If you are noticing this in your vehicle, visually inspect your hoses for cracks, rusty fittings and residue. Oily residue can be a sign of faulty hoses because oil from the compressor will get all over the outside of them as it’s carried with the refrigerant. If you’re working on your air conditioning hoses, ECS Tuning recommends changing all of your O-Rings that go in between the fittings, as well as the Receiver – Drier, which should be changed during any air conditioning service. Fits: BMW E39 540i

A/C Receiver/Drier: Recommended to be replaced any time the A/C system is open for Audi...

The receiver/drier removes moisture from the refrigerant in the A/C system using desiccant to keep other components of the system free from moisture. The receiver/drier also contains a filter to trap any contaminants that may harm or clog the system and also acts as a storage container for the oil and refrigerant when the system is not in use. The receiver/drier is recommended to be replaced any time the A/C system is opened as the desiccant can become quickly saturated, and useless, from humidity in the outside air. Fits: Audi B5 S4

A/C Receiver Drier : Recommended to be replaced any time the A/C system is opened for Mercedes ...

The primary function of the receiver/drier in your A/C system is to receive and store some liquid refrigerant from the condenser.. This liquid refrigerant settles on the bottom of the receiver/drier where a pickup tube with a filter screen on it picks it up and sends it to the inlet of the expansion valve. The receiver/drier acts as an accumulator in this function, storing extra refrigerant and oil during periods of low cooling demand on the A/C system. The receiver/drier also contains desiccant, which pulls moisture from the refrigerant in order to keep the A/C system free from contaminates. If you are working on your A/C system, and must open the system for any reason such as replacing the compressor, condenser or even a refrigerant line, it is highly recommended that the receiver/drier be replaced. Fits: Mercedes Benz ML500
