How to replace a watch band
Sometimes you want to change your watch band. Maybe you don’t like the look of yours, maybe you want metal instead of leather. Replacing a watch band is easier than you’d think, and all it takes is a few simple steps to swap one band for another. Watch bands you might be interested in are metal bracelets, NATO bands, leather cuff bands, or leather straps. Be careful throughout this process, as it is easy to scratch the watch if you slip with the spring bar.
Things you'll need:- Jeweler's screwdriver
1) Assuming you already have suitably sized replacement watch bands, lay the watch flat on a clean workspace. Find the point where the watch band meets the dial. There will be a small pin connecting them and use the jeweler’s screwdriver to depress it, making it pop out. Repeat this process for the other pin.
2) Find the small holes in the new band and carefully slip the spring pins into the small holes until the both ends of the pins are visible.
3) Guide the end of one pin along the dial until it fits in the retaining hole. Use your screwdriver to depress the opposite end and guide it into the remaining hole until it clicks into place. Repeat for the other band. Be careful, as it is easy to scratch the watch if you slip with the spring bar.
Congratulations, now you have a new watch band on your watch.
