I m not just talking about money you ll also need to consider the time and back strain you invest in moving your sofa into your home or apartment! Is it possible that you can be eco-friendly and recycle your couch? Don t waste cash and effort follow these tips as you search for a new or new-to-you sofa: 1. Salvage If you love your sofa, but it's getting a little dumpy, start with a super good cleaning. Remove cushions and seat covers and vacuum the main body of the couch using a brush attachment for the flat fabric sections and a nozzle for the cracks. If in doubt, repeat. Sprinkle on some dry carpet cleaning powder as you go, and don't forget to vacuum underneath! Next, use upholstery cleaner on the cushions and the sofa's main body. If the cushion covers are removable, just hand wash them in cool water and roll them up in a towel to remove the excess water
