Lake based sports have been around for hundreds of years. They are perhaps the most entertaining of them all. Most lake based sports are even recreational activities as they are very pleasurable. Let us take a look at a few top lake based sports.
Kayaking
Kayaking is one of the coolest water sports around. Kayaking is also a really cool recreational activity during the summer. Kayaking is basically use of a kayak for moving across water. A kayak is a boat where the paddler faces forward, legs in front, using a double bladed paddle. Kayaks usually have closed decks but off late inflatable kayaks which come without decks but which have air chambers surrounding the boat are available. Now days there are many sit-on-top kayaks like the zest kayak. For comfort you could even customize your seating by getting yourself a kayak seat pad. The Padz kayak seat pad is a very comfortable seat pad which is used in almost all kayaks. You could use sandpaper to custom shape each pad for comfort and control.
Waterskiing
Water skiing is a sport as well as a recreational activity which is popular in many countries around the world. All you need is a fast boat, a cable to hold you on to the boat, a pair of skis and an expanse of water unaffected by wave motion. Rivers, lakes, and sheltered bays are all popular for water skiing. In waterskiing an individual is pulled behind a boat or a cable ski installation on a body of water. There are different types of water skiing like Trick skiing, salmon skiing, ski jumping and ski racing.
